Hornosvratecká vrchovina within the geomorphological division of the Czech Republic

Hornosvratecká vrchovina (German mountainous region of the Upper Swratka ) is located in the Porta microregion and is part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands , which in turn belongs geomorphologically to the Bohemian-Moravian sub-province in the Czech Republic .

The mountain range consists of granodiorites , diorites , gabbros , paragneiss and mica-containing metapelites . The strike of the rocks runs from northwest to southeast. The north-eastern border runs along a fault line in sharp demarcation from the deposits of the Bohemian Chalk .

It is subdivided into Saarer Berge , Arnolecké hory and Nedvědická vrchovina. The flora of the mountain range consists of a mix of forests, meadows and fields, including isolated rocks and deep valleys. The highest mountain is the Devět Skal (nine rocks) with 836 m above sea level. M.
