Remains of Lauka Castle

geography

The Louka ruins are located in the mountains of the upper Swratka , part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands , above the valley of the Dvorský brook on the Hradisko. Surrounding villages are Crhov in the north, Louka in the south, Loucký Dvůr in the west and Křtěnov in the north-west.

history

The castle was probably founded in the second half of the 13th century by the Lords of Lomnitz. Their territory was in the border area to the possessions of the Kunstadt , Pernstein and Boskowitz families and extended north to the Bohemian rule Svojanov . The castle was first mentioned in writing in 1360 as the property of the Proček of Lomnice. It was the center of a great rule around Moravská Olešnice , whose goods reached to Poříčí and Věchnov . The Vorwerkshof can be traced back to 1391. In 1416 Jan von Lomnice sold the rule to Jan Ozor von Boskowitz. The Boskowitzers held Louka for half a century. In 1464 the brothers Dobeš, Beneš and Tas Černohorský von Boskowitz sold Lauka to Bohuš from Lomnice. Through his marriage to Katharina von Lomnice, Pertold von Tworkau acquired the rule. His sons Ondřej and Kryštof sold Louka with the associated villages Černovice , Louka , Poříčí , Hodonín , Tasovice and the town of Olešnice , the Lauka Thiergarten and the desert villages of Německé, Milejov and Křižánkov to Wilhelm II of Pernstein in 1496 . This struck the newly acquired property of his rule Pernstein . The castle lost its function as a mansion and was repaired for the last time at the beginning of the 16th century. In 1521 the castle was described as inhabited in Wilhelm von Pernstein's will. When the goods of Wilhelm II. Von Pernstein were distributed to his sons, Johann von Pernstein received Louka. After the Pernsteiners acquired the rule of Kunstadt , the Lauka estates were attached to Kunstadt after 1520. Vratislav von Pernstein sold Louka in 1561 to Hans Friedrich Graf von Hardegg on Letovice . In 1591 the castle was described as desolate.

investment

The remains of the walls of the castle gate and residential buildings as well as the moat have been preserved. Only the foundation walls of the defensive walls are left.

A memorial to the victims of World War II was erected on the hill.
