Franz Best
Franz Best (born October 12, 1853 in Osthofen ; † October 16, 1939 there ) was a Hessian politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
Franz Best was the son of the landowner and brewer Jakob Best (in official documents Jakob Best V.) and his wife Katharina, née Kippenberger. On May 15, 1897, Franz Best, who was of Protestant faith, married Babette nee Müller.
Franz Best worked as a landowner on his parents' estate and was appointed economics councilor in 1908.
In the 33rd to 36th electoral period (1905-1918) Franz Best was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he represented the constituency Rheinhessen 4 / Osthofen .
