Christian Orb
Christian Orb (in official documents Christian Orb II. ) (* January 25, 1813 in Westhofen ; † April 8, 1887 ibid) was a Hessian landowner and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
Christian Orb was the son of the master baker and landowner Valentin Orb (1778-1835) and his second wife Sibilla Katharina, née Keller. Orb, who was a Protestant, was a landowner in Westhofen and married Katharina Elisabeth née Bachmann (1824–1886) in 1853.
From 1865 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 7 / Osthofen . From 1852 to 1887 he was mayor of Westhofen.
