history

Jakubov was probably founded in the 13th century by the lower aristocratic family, who had their seat opposite the Chvojnice Valley at the Lhotice Castle ( Dolní hrádek ). This older castle was abandoned in the second half of the 14th century. On the same mountain spur there was another castle ( Horní hradek ), which is considered to be the seat of the Lords of Jakubov and later the Jakubov Bell Hill , which went out at the beginning of the 15th century.

The oldest written mention of the village took place in 1356 in the Brno Landtafel as the property of Vladikengeschlechts Kralický of Kralice. In 1368 Záviš von Jakubov sold a farm with forests and meadows to Mikeš Kralický von Kralice and his nephews. In 1385 Domaslav von Jakubov gave his wife Kačna a morning gift on his property in Jakubov. In 1390 Domaslav sold three Hufen land and six chalets to Hermann von Schellenberg. In 1417 Blud von Kralice bought two free farms and six chalets in Jakubov from Janek Schellenberg von Jakubov. The Kralický von Kralice owned almost the entire village, which at the time consisted of only six properties to the right of the village stream and two or three farms on the left side of the stream. In 1573 sold Heinrich von Kralice along with the festivals Kralice also his property in Jakubov to the owner of the rule Namiest , Johann the Elder of Žerotín . After the Thirty Years War, three of Jakubov's seven properties were in desolation. The oldest local seal dates from before 1749; it shows a heart from which a flower with three blossoms grows, to the side of the central blossom are the letters "IW". In the 18th century, a brick bell tower was built on the village square; the bell was cast in 1769 by the Brno bell caster Johann Schlichtinger. In 1790 there were 13 houses in Jakubov, the village had 99 inhabitants.

In 1837 the village of Jakobau or Jakubow , located in the Znojmo district , consisted of 21 houses in which 160 people lived. The parish and school location was Poppowitz . Jakobau remained subject to Fideikommissgrafschaft Namiest until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial Jakubov / Jakobau formed a district of the municipality Králice in the judicial district of Namiest from 1849 . From 1869 Jakubov belonged to the Trebitsch district. At that time the village had 172 inhabitants and consisted of 22 houses. From 1879 Jakubov belonged to the municipality of Lhotice as a district . In 1900 there were 170 people in Jakubov ; In 1910 there were 157. In 1907 Jakubov broke away from Lhotice and formed his own community. At the 1921 census, 156 Czechs lived in the 30 houses of the community. In 1930 Jakubov consisted of 36 houses and 158 inhabitants. Between 1939 and 1945 Jakubov / Jakobau belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1948 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Velká Bíteš. In 1950 Jakubov had 149 inhabitants. In the course of the territorial reform and the abolition of the Okres Velká Bíteš, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Třebíč on July 1, 1960 ; to distinguish it from another Jakubov in the same district, the municipality name was changed to Lesní Jakubov . In April 1989 the 9th and 10th Rapotice anti-aircraft missile detachments of the 76th Rosice u Brna anti-aircraft brigade were set up in the woods east of Lesní Jakubov, and the position, equipped with Soviet S-200 Wega missiles , was designed for the air defense of Brno . In the 2001 census, 95 people lived in the 39 houses of Lesní Jakubov. After the missile position was closed, the barracks buildings in the Lesní Jakubov district were transferred by the army to the Prison Services of the Czech Republic (VSČR) on October 1, 2005 and converted into Rapotice Prison. The municipality has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2014.
