Červená Lhota (German Rotlhota , older also Roth Oelhütten ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 20 kilometers southeast of the city center of Jihlava and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .

geography

Červená Lhota is located in the valley basin of Leštinský potok in the southern part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Čechtínský kopec (661 m) rises to the east and the Zubrca (612 m) to the south-east. To the west lies the Jihlava valley .

Neighboring towns are Kouty in the north, Čechtín and Kukla in the northeast, Věstoňovice in the east, Vartemberk and Okřešice in the southeast, Račerovice and Číhalín in the south, Přibyslavice and Hynkov in the southwest, Číchov in the west and Bransouze , Leština and Chlum in the northwest.

history

The first mention of Cervena Lhota took place in 1436. The Moravian village was one of the many after Lhotensystem founded towns whose settlers were freed for a specified period of royalties and services to the authorities.

Červená Lhota has belonged to the Trebitsch District (Okres Třebíč) since 1850.

Červená Lhota is a Catholic parish for the villages of Budíkovice, Čechtín, Číhalín and Okřešice.
