Nová Ves

Nová Ves (German Neudorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers northwest of Třebíč and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .

geography

Nová Ves is located in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands on a knoll on the left side above the Jihlava valley .

Neighboring towns are Číhalín in the north, Okřešice in the northeast, Račerovice in the east, Sokolí and Červený Mlýn in the southeast, Petrovice in the south, Nové Petrovice and Okříšky in the west and Přibyslavice in the northwest.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1214.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves formed from 1850 a political municipality in the Třebíč district. At that time the village had 198 inhabitants. In 1905 a village school was inaugurated. The Nová Ves volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1911. A limestone quarry and brickworks were operated north of the village .

The largest company in Nová Ves is now Mann + Hummel (CZ) sro The Vápenka ranch is located in the limestone quarry.
