Blatnice (German Blatnitz , older also Blattnitz , Plattnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northeast of Moravské Budějovice and belongs to the Okres Třebíč

geography

Blatnice is located in the headwaters of the Nedvědka in South Moravia . The Rokytka River runs north of the village . The Bílý Kopec (459 m) rises to the southwest. The place is on the state road 152 between Moravské Budějovice and Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou .

Neighboring towns are Popovice and Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou in the north, Příštpo in the east, Ohrazenice in the southeast, Dvorek in the south, Lažínky and Moravské Budějovice in the southwest, Lukov and Melkusův Mlýn in the west and Bohušice in the northwest.

history

Blatnice was first mentioned in a document in 1046.

After the abolition of patrimonial Blatnice belonged to the district administration of Znojmo from 1850 . The seat of the district court was in Mährisch Budwitz .
