Biskupice-Pulkov is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers southeast of Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .
geography
Biskupice-Pulkov is located on the Rokytná in the Jevišovická pahorkatina ( Jaispitzer hill country ). Parts of the municipality belong to the Rokytná Nature Park.
Neighboring municipalities are Radkovice u Hrotovic in the north, Litovany in the northeast, Újezd in the southeast, Slatina in the south, Rozkoš in the southwest and Příštpo in the northwest.
history
Archaeological finds prove that the municipality was settled during the Paleolithic , Neolithic ( linear ceramic culture ), Bronze Age and Iron Age .
The first written mention of Biskupice took place in 1131. In 1570 Biskupice was raised to a town. The Pulkauer Mühle was first mentioned in 1571. The village of Pulkau, named after the mill, was built between 1750 and 1775.
On July 1, 1965, the municipalities of Biskupice and Pulkov were merged to form the municipality of Biskupice-Pulkov. In 1973 the Biskupice Castle was demolished.
Community structure
The municipality Biskupice-Pulkov consists of the districts Biskupice ( Biskupitz ) and Pulkov ( Pulkau ). Biskupice-Pulkov also includes the layers of Peklo and Pulkovský Mlýn ( Pulkauer Mill ).
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Biskupice u Hrotovic and Pulkov.
