Popůvky (German Popuwka , 1939–45 Popuwek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southwest of Náměšť nad Oslavou and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .
geography
Popůvky is located in the basin of the Popůvecký creek in the Jevišovická pahorkatina ( Jaispitzer hill country ) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Náměšť military airfield extends north of the village . In the west lies the Jihlava valley flooded with the Dalešice reservoir .
Neighboring towns are Sedlec in the north, Březník in the Northeast, Vlčí Kopec and Kuroslepy the east, Sedlecký Dvůr, Sedlecká myslivna and Kladeruby nad Oslavou in the southeast, Kramolín in the south, Dalešice and Valeč in the southwest, Stropešín , Chroustov and Wilsonka the west and Hartvíkovice and Třesov in the north-west.
history
Archaeological finds on the open fields Na Díle and Beranovo the Sedlecký Dvur occupy a settlement of the area during the Old and New Stone Age . These were predominantly from chert les from the Krumlovský ( Kromauer forest ) produced scraper ( škrabadlo ).
The village of Popovici was founded in the first half of the 12th century by the Benedictine monastery of the Assumption in Třebíč . During the Cuman invasion of 1304, Popovice was burned down and went out. Before 1371 the village was re-established under the name Popuwky , but was no longer part of the Trebitsch monastery estates. Since 1415, most of the village belonged to the Mohelno rule . In 1492 Tobias was of Čechtín its share of five Huben in Popuwka with a yard and four passengers and six Huben with a tavern and a passenger in Harti Kowitz Sigmund and Marquard of Mírov intabulieren . In 1527 Popuwka was added to the Namiescht rule together with the Mohelno estate . 1535 freed Wenceslaus the Elder Ä. from Lomnitz the town of Mohelno and the villages Popuwka , Kradrub , Kramolin and Lhanitz from the seizure liability . In 1537 Sigmund von Mírov assigned the Smil Osovský von Doubravitz together with the fortress and the Pozdětín court to the villages of Pozdětín, Wlcetín , Hroznětín , Bochowic and Popuwky (proportionally) as well as the church patronage in Hartwikowic . After the death of Jaroslav Osovský von Doubravitz, his widow Magdalena von Mírov took over the Wokarec estate ; the good Pozdětín they ceded to Burian of Doubravitz, the festivals and the village Pozdětín, the villages Wlcetín, Hroznětín and Bochowic and the interest people in Popuwky left in 1555 to Ulrich von Lomnitz on Namiescht. During the Thirty Years' War, Charles the Elder of Žerotín sold the rule to his brother-in-law Albrecht von Waldstein in 1628 . He soon sold it to Johann Baptist Verda von Verdenberg , who raised the rule to a county in 1630. Subsequent landlords were the lords of Enckevort from 1666 , then the Counts of Kufstein from 1743 and the Counts Haugwitz from 1752 .
In 1842 the village of Popuwka , located on a hill in the Znojmo district , consisted of 25 houses in which 164 people lived. A mill on the Iglawa as well as a stately hunter's house and the Meierhof were located apart . Until the middle of the 19th century Popuwka remained subject to the Fideikommissgrafschaft Namiescht.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Popůvka / Popuwka 1849 a district of the municipality Sedlec in the judicial district Namiest . From 1869 Popůvka belonged to the Trebitsch district. At that time the village had 185 inhabitants and consisted of 25 houses. In 1900 there were 196 people living in Popůvka ; In 1910 there were 221. On January 1, 1920, the village of Sedlec broke away and formed its own municipality under the name Popůvky . In the 1921 census, 204 Czechs lived in the 33 houses of the community. In 1930 Popůvky consisted of 41 houses and had 199 inhabitants. Between 1939 and 1945 Popůvky / Popuwek belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1948 it was reclassified to Okres Velká Bíteš. In 1950 Popůvky had 186 inhabitants. In 1956, the construction of the Náměšť military airfield began at the height above the village , the first two aircraft arrived on November 2, 1959. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Velká Bíteš, the municipality was reassigned to the Okres Třebíč on July 1, 1960 . In the 2001 census, 91 people lived in the 44 houses in Popůvky. The municipality has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2012.
Community structure
No districts are designated for the Popůvky community. The one-layer Sedlecký Dvůr ( Sedletzer Hof ) belongs to Popůvky . The municipality forms the Popůvky nad Jihlavou cadastral district .
