history
The village of Nesmír was located on the site of the Nesměř settlement in the Oslavatal valley until the 12th century. This was burned down after the outbreak of the plague and four houses were later built on its remains.
The first written mention of Rohy took place in 1377 when Jan II the Younger of Meziříč gave the village to his cousin Jan III. to the elder of Meziříč. Jindřich von Meziříč sold Rohy in 1399 to the Meziříčí chaplain . In 1481 the village belonged to the altar of St. Johannes in the Meseritsch Church of St. Nicholas. Until the 17th century, Rohy consisted of ten houses. After the Thirty Years' War Rudolf von Kaunitz acquired the Meseritsch rule. His son sold the rule including the associated 31 villages to Peter Freiherr von Ugarte. By 1720 the place had grown to 20 houses and had 143 inhabitants. In 1735 the Counts Ugarte , who had become over-indebted with the construction of the palace in Meseritsch, had to sell their property to Duke Leopold von Holstein. In 1834 108 people lived in the 25 houses of Rohy.
After the abolition of patrimonial Rohy formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Hodau in the district of Velké Meziříčí . In 1869 Rohy had 180 inhabitants. In 1908 the municipality of Rohy was established. In 1950 the place consisted of 52 houses and had 217 inhabitants. In the same year the foundation stone was laid for a new school. Rohy has been part of the Okres Třebíč since 1961. The school was closed in 1975 due to insufficient student numbers. Since 2002 the community has had a coat of arms and a banner.
