Osové (German Wossowe , also Wossowa ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers south of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .

geography

Osové is located in the Krischanauer Uplands (Křižanovská vrchovina) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village lies on a ridge between the Oslava , Oslavička and Mařek valleys . The Nesměř (493 m) rises to the east and the Rohovec (503 m) to the south. In the east, the Oslava flows through the Nesměřské údolí valley.

Neighboring towns are Velké Meziříčí in the north, Domky, Děkanův Dvůr and Dolní Radslavice in the Northeast, Petráveč the east, Nesměř, Eliášova Myslivna and Dolní Heřmanice in the southeast, Studnice and Rohy in the south, Oslavička in the southwest, Ovčírna and Baliny the west and Oslavice in northwest .

history

Osoví was first mentioned in a document in 1354. In 1365 Jan von Meziříčí sold his goods in Osová to Bláha von Oslavičky. He exchanged ownership in 1371 with Jan von Osové for his share in Oslavičky . The village of Nesmierz was first mentioned in 1365. The goods in Osová were attached to Oslavičky in 1493. In 1560, Sigmund Held von Kement Oslavičky, including Osová, acquired Meziříčí to his rule . In 1693 the whole area was ravaged by a plague of locusts. Nesmierz was abandoned at the end of the 17th century and in 1695 it was no longer recorded in the land register. A Hegerhaus was later built in its place .

After the abolition of patrimonial Vosovy formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Oslavice in the district administration Velké Meziříčí. Later the village was also called Vosoví . In 1919 the Osové community was established . At the beginning of 1961 Osové was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . Osové was incorporated into Velké Meziříčí in 1980. The community has existed again since 1992.
