Pokojov is located on a ridge between the valleys of the Rendlíčkový potok and Bohdalovský potok in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . To the northeast is the Rendlíček pond and the Most on the southern outskirts. In the south-west rises the V Kopečku (663 m).

history
The village was probably formed at the same time as Kotlasy , which can be traced back to 1349. It is believed that the village of Bukaw, mentioned at the time during the border dispute between Jan von Tasov and the Saar monastery , is the origin of today's place. When in 1353 Adam of Konice gave Kotlasy to the monastery according to the last will of Jan von Tasovs, the order received the desolate village of Bukaw at the same time as the resettlement. The first written mention of Pokoj took place in 1437 in the course of an accusation by the Hecht von Rossitz against Wenzel and Georg von Krawarn on Meziříčí for seizing several villages belonging to the Cistercian monastery Saar . In 1447 the Saar abbot Johann demanded several times from Jan von Lomnice on Meziříčí for taxes from Pokoj. Finally, another lawsuit filed in 1481 was successful. In 1483 Pokoj was listed in the land register of the Saar monastery with a free court, 14 farms, a mill and two desolate quarter hats. In 1494 Pokoj was awarded to the monastery by the court.
After the abolition of patrimonial Pokojov formed a community in the political district of Neustadtl from 1850 . In 1930 the place consisted of 30 houses and had 148 inhabitants. Since 1949 the community has belonged to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .
