history
Around 1650, a glassworks was built below the Štarkov castle ruins on the Frischawa river, which went out again after a short time. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1660 under the name Auf den Hütten / Na Huti . A paper mill was built on the site of the glassworks and supplied the courtyards in Prague and Vienna. The settlement was subject to the Ingrowitz rule from its foundation until 1848 and has been known as Neu Ingrowitz since the 18th century.
After the abolition of patrimonial Hutě / Neu Ingrowitz formed from 1850 with the districts Paseky / Passek and Breitenfeld a municipality in the political district of Neustadtl . The paper mill stopped production at the end of the 19th century. A wool laundry was then set up in their buildings. From 1921 the name Nový Jimramov, used next to Hutě since the end of the 19th century, became the official place name. 1949 Nový Jimramov was assigned to the Okres Polička. Since 1961 the community belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou. From 1960 armchairs and armchairs were produced in the wood goods factory. In 1976 it was incorporated into Jimramov . In 1990 the furniture factory closed. The Nový Jimramov municipality has existed again since 1990. Today Nový Jimramov is a recreational and winter sports resort. There is a ski lift in Nový Jimramov.
