Osová Bítýška (German Ossowa Bittischka , older also Vitis ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers northwest of Velká Bíteš and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .

geography

Osová Bítýška is located in the Krischanauer Uplands (Křižanovská vrchovina) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The place is opposite Záblatí on the left bank of the Bítýška. The Duforty ( Düfort , 561 m) rises to the southeast . State road 37 between Křižanov and Velká Bíteš runs through Osová Bítýška . The railway line from Brno to Žďár nad Sázavou runs north of the village .

Neighboring towns are Skřinářov in the north, Ondrušky and Březí in the northeast, Osová and Vlkov in the east, Velká Bíteš , Kevlický Dvůr and Nové Sady in the southeast, Záblatí in the south, Křeptovský Dvůr in the southwest, Ruda in the west and Třech Dvory and Ořech in the north.

history

The first written mention of the village of Vitis , which belongs to the Osové Castle, took place in 1264. The parish in Vitis was subordinate to the Coming of the Teutonic Knights in Opava , the first pastor is in 1266 Kuno von Zbraslav.

In 1349 Vitis was mentioned as a town. In 1364 the place was called Bytesska or Malá Bythezka , in 1458 as Osowská Bytesska and then as Ossova Biteschka . Until 1848 Osová Bítýška always remained subject to the Osové rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Osová Bytyška 1850 with the districts Osové, Záblatí, Vlkov and Skřinářov a municipality in the district administration Velké Meziříčí. In 1867 Záblatí, from 1874 Vlkov and 1884 Skřinářov became an independent municipality. In 1869 there were 701 people in Osová Bítýška, while Osové had 82 inhabitants. The population of Osová Bítýška had increased to 715 in 1900, and that of Osové to 102. In 1924 the district Osové was named Osová . At the beginning of 1961 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . Between 1973 and 1990 Záblatí was incorporated. The community has existed again since 1992.

Community structure

The community Osová Bítýška consists of the districts Osová ( Ossowa ) and Osová Bítýška ( Ossowa Bittischka ) and the single layer Tři Dvory ( Dreihof ).

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts Osová and Osová Bítýška.

Attractions

  • Osová Castle in Osová, the castle was built at the end of the 17th century on the site of a moated castle that has been documented since 1348 and burned down in 1638. It is located on the bank of the Okolník pond. To the west of the palace is the palace park, laid out in 1835. The castle is currently not accessible.
  • Sýpka Gallery, which was established in 1990 in a baroque granary of the Osová Castle between Osová Bítýška and Osová, was built in 1669 and is open from May to September.
  • St. James the Elder Church in Osová Bítýška, the originally early Gothic building from the 2nd half of the 13th century was enlarged and redesigned in Baroque style in the middle of the 17th century.
