history

Podolí was founded at the end of the 13th century and belonged to the possessions of the Lords of Lomnitz on the lower town of Chrysan . The village was mentioned for the first time in 1333 in the course of the hereditary regulation of the Vznata of Skuhrov. Podolí was under the judge of Horní Bobrová. In 1434 a dispute broke out over the inheritance of the Křižanovský von Lomnitz family, in which Vladike Petřík von Zwole appropriated the village. The rightful owner Dobeš von Meziříčí led a lawsuit between 1436 and 1437 about a settlement for the return. A few years later, Petřík's son, Hynek von Zwole, moved the village to himself, so that the siblings Machna and Anežka von Křižanov also had to sue for their property. As part of the Křižanover estates, Johann von Pernstein received the village in 1464 as a margravial fief. Wilhelm II of Pernstein granted the residents of Podolí on April 20, 1478 the right of repatriation, provided that the property remained under the rule. In 1536 the Lords of Pernstein exchanged the village with the Saar abbot Ambrosius for the desolate monastery village of Novošice.

1667 the first place seal and coat of arms of Podoly can be proven. In 1787 Podoly consisted of 23 houses and had 142 inhabitants. The place was parish after Horní Bobrová.

After the abolition of patrimonial Podolly formed a district of the municipality Horní Bobrová in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1864 the municipality Podolly was established. Five farms were destroyed in a large fire in 1867. In 1880 there were 32 houses with 186 residents in Podolí. Ten years later, 163 people lived in the village. After the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě, the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou in 1947.
