history

Vlachovice was probably founded in the 15th century by the lords of Lipá . One kilometer west of Vlachovice was the village of Bratroňovice, subject to the monastery. The location, which has been verifiable since 1450, was abandoned before 1462 because of the heavy loads that the monastery was demanding. It is believed that the inhabitants of Bratroňovice moved to the neighboring New Town area and settled in Vlachovice.

The village of Wlachowicze was first mentioned in writing in 1496 when Heinrich von Leipa sold the Neustadtl estate to his former guardian Wilhelm II von Pernstein . Since that time Wlachowicze has been on the border between the Pernstein dominion and the possessions of the Saar Cistercian monastery . After the division of the Pernstein rule, Vlachovice belonged to the Neustadtl- Ingrowitz share from 1500 and to the Neustadtl rule from 1564. There has been a judge in Vlachovice since 1571, and his area of responsibility has expanded significantly over the years. In the second half of the 17th century, the owner of the Neustadtl estate, Franz Maximilian Kratzer von Schönsberg, had two iron stone pits built near Vlachovice. The oldest local seal dates from 1746.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vlachovice formed a municipality in the political district of Neustadtl from 1850. In 1934 a large ring brick was erected below the village. In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . Until the middle of the 20th century, the original form of a round settlement remained in Vlachovice . From 1949, several four-family houses in the style of socialist architecture and a concrete cowshed were built in the place. Between 1961 and 1980 the village was incorporated into Rokytno and then to Nové Město na Moravě . Several homes were built after the Velvet Revolution. The municipality of Vlachovice has existed again since 1992. After Studnice , Vlachovice, together with Rokytno, is the second highest place in the Saar mountains.
