history

The place arose in the course of the colonization activities of the Lords of Medlov and belonged to the Lapis Castle . When Imram de Lapide sold the castle to the Lords of Boskowitz in 1348 , a village called Čtyři Studně , which is probably today's Studnice , was also mentioned in the country table . The Boskowitzers struck the acquired property of the Pysselecz castle , as its accessories Studnice was mentioned in 1384. In 1446 Johann von Pernstein acquired the Pysselecz rule. Subsequently, Studnice belonged to the Pernstein dominion and after their division in 1500 came to the Neustadtl - Ingrowitz share. From 1564 the village was part of the Neustadtl lordship. Franz Maximilian Kratzer von Schönsberg had an iron mine built near Studnice in the middle of the 17th century. The iron was melted in the Kadau blast furnace . Limestone, which was used as an additive in the blast furnace melting process, began in the 18th century . In 1729, the Studnické Paseky settlement was established north of Studnice. The oldest local seal dates from 1764 and shows a fountain with a reel and scoop. In 1818 the Michal iron mine existed. There was also a lime kiln in Studnice, which produced until the 1930s.

After the abolition of patrimonial Studnice formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Rokytno in the political district of Neustadtl. In 1867 the Studnice community was established. In 1878, fissures 50 m long and a 2 × 10 m large cave with some stalactites were found in the crystalline limestone deposit. During the German occupation , Studnice was a center of resistance against National Socialism. The resistance groups R 3, Calcium, Tungsten, Platinum-Pewter and Bauxite operating in the area were supported in many ways by the Olympian Cyril Musil .

In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1960 Studnice lost its independence and became a district of Rokytno. Since 1980 Studnice has been incorporated into Nové Město na Moravě. Today Studnice is a resort and a popular cross-country skiing area in winter. In 1991 the place had 33 inhabitants.
