history

The place was probably founded at the beginning of the 14th century in the course of the colonization of the primeval forests in the headwaters of the Svratka and its tributaries on the Moravian border with Bohemia by the feudal men of the Lords of Pernstein , Kadold von Haslau and Dietrich von Wolfgersdorf . The first settlers came from the Budwicz area and were probably Germans. Nemecz was first mentioned in a document in 1335 as Jimram von Ausperg's daughter Jeruše, together with the widow Kadold von Haslaus and Dietrich von Wolfgersdorf's wife, assigned the income from the village to the Doubravník monastery in a will . The place name can be translated as Německé in the sense of German / German and thus refers to the first settlers in the place. I.e. a village inhabited by Germans in 1392 acquired Wilhelm von Pernstein Nemecz and subsequently the place belonged to the lordship of Bystřice . As a result of the Hussite Wars , Nemetzky was settled by the Czechs. In 1500, after the division of the Pernstein rulership, the town became part of Neustadtl - Ingrowitz . The first judge in Nemetzky can be proven in 1524. In 1540 the Vříšť glassworks was first mentioned and at the same time named a glass master in Nemetzky. In 1587 there was a church and a parish in the place, the pastor was an Utraquist. Kuklík , Křižánky and the Millauer meadows were also subordinate to the judge . After the death of Vratislav von Pernstein , his sons Johann and Maximilian sold the indebted Neustadtl estate to Wilhelm Dubský von Třebomyslice in 1587. At the beginning of the 17th century he had the Millauer pond created. Dubský lost its goods after the Battle of White Mountain in 1624. The parish in Nemetzky died out during the Thirty Years' War. In 1625, the Olomouc Bishop Franz Xaver von Dietrichstein consecrated the altar of the Katharinenkirche. From 1638 the rule came to Simon Kratzer von Schönsberg. In 1672 the parish in Nemetzky existed again, but was vacant. Were also the parish Tři Studně , Fryšava , Křižánky, Líšná , Vříšť, Kuklík, Odranec and Kadov . The first local seal dates from 1729. The parish vicar district had expanded with the establishment of the settlements Neustift, Kratka and Samotin. The first school can be traced back to 1749. Ferrous metallurgy and mining in the area flourished in the 18th century. After the Josephine patent of tolerance , numerous families converted to the Protestant denomination from 1782. In 1784 a new school opened in the old Catholic parsonage, whose catchment area also included Líšná, Vříšť, Kuklík, Odranec, Kadov, Krátká, Samotín, Blatiny and Moravské Milovy. From 1807 the Kříž iron mine was operated on the way to Krátká . In 1825 the trade route from Nové Město na Moravě to Svratka was established . In 1845 the Catholic parish was re-established.

After the abolition of patrimonial Německý / Nemetzky formed from 1850 a market town in the political district of Neustadtl . The Protestant school opened in 1851. Německý was finally officially raised to a minority town in 1852 and received the right to two further fairs. In the following year the old cemetery at the church was closed and the present one consecrated. The Protestant prayer hall was converted into a church in 1861. In 1869 Německý had 1931 inhabitants.
