Blatiny , until 1924 Novosady (German Neustift ), is a district of Sněžné in the Czech Republic. It is located two kilometers west of Sněžné and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .

geography

Blatiny is located in the southeast of the Saar mountains . The village is located at the northeastern foot of the Teplá ( Samotinberg , 782 m). To the northwest rise the protected rocky peaks of the Malinská skála ( Malinian rock , 811 m), Drátenická skála ( wiry rock , 775 m), and Devět Skal ( nine rocks , 836 m), in the northeast lie the Vysoký kopec ( high mountain , 806 m) ) and Buchtův Kopec ( Lion Mountain , 813 m), in the west Na Vrších (726 m) and Jelínkův les (707 m).

Neighboring towns are Milovy in the north, Podlesí and Zálesí in the northeast, Sněžné in the east, Vříšť in the southeast, Krátká and Kadov in the south, Fryšava pod Žákovou horou in the southwest, Samotín in the west and Moravské Křižánky in the northwest.

history

The place was created during the last phase of colonization on the territory of the Neustadtl lordship at the transition from the 17th to the 18th century, after the Brno aristocratic fräuleinstift Maria Schul released the forests for settlement. In 1707 the place was first mentioned as Neustift . 1735, the head of the congregation, Maria Josepha was Countess of Hohenzollern, the land of the now 16 Chaluppen measured and wrote Newstiefft as a new submissive village of domination Neustadtl to. The easements also included collecting hazelnuts, mushrooms and morels . The oldest place seal dates from 1768. The name of the place, which was initially written as Najštift , was transferred into Czech as Nové Sady or Novosady in the course of the 19th century . The village was mostly called Blatiny by the residents .

After the abolition of patrimonial Nové Sady / Neustift formed from 1850 with the district Samotín a municipality in the political district of Neustadtl. In 1904 Samotín broke away and formed an independent community. In 1924, the popular name Blatiny became the official place name. At the beginning of 1949 Blatiny was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1962 it was incorporated into Sněžné . In 1991 the village had 47 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 60 houses in which 48 people lived.
