history

Krátká arose during the last settlement phase of the Saar mountains. In 1727 the head of the Brno women's monastery Maria Schul, Maria Josepha Countess von Hohenzollern , allowed woodcutters and smelters of the Kadau ironworks to clear parts of the Tepla forest and build chalets. The self-contained settlement was initially called Teplá . In 1735 the headmistress had the ten plots measured and assigned Krátká as a new subordinate village to the Neustadtl lordship . It took some time for the new place name to take hold. Iron ore has been mined near Krátká since 1741, the mine was on the way to Vříšť and supplied the Kadau smelter. The oldest local seal dates from 1764. According to the Josephine tolerance patent, a Protestant community was established at the end of the 18th century. Krátká became a center of Protestants in the Saar mountains. In 1783 a prayer hall and a cemetery were to be built. These plans had to be set because of the resistance from Německé and Líšná . At the beginning of the 19th century, the mine was closed because the iron ore deposit was exhausted.

After the abolition of patrimonial Krátká formed from 1850 a district of the community Kadov / Kadau in the political district of Neustadtl . In 1867 the political community Krátká was established. In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou and in 1964 it was incorporated into Kadov. Krátká has been part of Sněžné since 1992 . In 1991 the place had 28 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 29 houses in which 23 people lived.
