Uhřínov (German Aurschinow , also Uhrzinau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers west of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .

geography

Uhřínov is located in the Krischanauer Uplands ( Křižanovská vrchovina ) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village lies on the right side of the Balinka river above the confluence of the Pohořílský potok and Svatoslavský potok. To the northeast rises the Hrbovský vrch (568 m), in the southeast the Kopaniny (530 m), southwest the Strážnice (564 m) and in the west the Jalovcová hora (584 m). To the southeast lies the Balinské údolí nature park.

history

According to ancient traditions, the Ungeltberg Castle is said to have been in the area, which Johann von Luxemburg conquered and razed as a robber's nest in 1312. The name of the village is said to be derived from this castle.

The first written mention of the place took place in 1348. At that time the village was divided between Ondřej von Uhřínov and the rule Meziříčí . There was also a free court in Uhřínov. In 1622 Jakub Čermák bought the burned down farm from the citizen Václav Buchta. Čermák belonged to the two free landowners in Moravia, who, together with four others in Bohemia, were raised to the Vladikenstand . After several changes of ownership, Uhřínov belonged in 1645 with eight houses to the Meziříčí rule and five houses to the Budišov rule .

After the abolition of patrimonial Uhřínov formed from 1850 with the districts Šeborov, Frankův Zhořec , Hrbov and Baliny a political municipality in the district administration Velké Meziříčí. In 1908 the municipality of Baliny was established. In 1918, the Pohořílky farm belonging to the large estate of Count Franz Harrach on Velké Meziříčí and the Oslavice farm belonging to the Budišov manor were expropriated and the land was sold to the small farmers in the surrounding areas. At the beginning of 1961 Uhřínov was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . Between 1980 and 1991 the village was incorporated into Velké Meziříčí. Since January 1st, 1992 the municipality of Baliny exists again. Since January 15, 2009 the Uhřínov Commune has had a coat of arms and a banner.

Community structure

The municipality Uhřínov consists of the districts Šeborov ( Scheborow ) and Uhřínov ( Aurschinow ), which also form cadastral districts.
