Počítky (German Potschitek , also Potcitek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers northeast of Žďár nad Sázavou and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .
geography
Počítky is located in the south of the Saar Mountains in the valley of the Pernička brook. The Moravian town is located south of the historical border with Bohemia , which ran along the Sázava and Lamperský potok. The Kříbek (709 m) rises to the northeast, the Zlatá horka (640 m) to the south, the Zelená hora (611 m) and the Černý les (648 m) to the southwest.
Neighboring towns are Čvrtě in the north, Sklené , Fousek and Tři Studně in the north-east, Vlachovice and Lhotka in the east, Radňovice in the south-east, Plíčky and Mělkovice in the south, Vysoké in the south-west, Pohod, Lyra and Hynkvec in the west as well as Vžýpustek, Stržíanov, Světnov in the northwest.
history
The village was founded in the second half of the 14th century. The first written mention of the village belonging to the Saar Cistercian monastery took place in 1407 in the Saar Urbar as Počátky . Members of a locator family held the bureau's office. 45 residents died in the cholera epidemic of 1832.
After the abolition of patrimonial Počítky formed from 1850 a municipality in the political district of Neustadtl . 1949 Počítky was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1961 Vysoké was incorporated and between 1980 and 1992 Počítky was a district of Žďár nad Sázavou .

Attractions
- Pilgrimage church of St. Johannes von Nepomuk , on the Zelená hora, southwest of the village, built 1719–1722 according to plans by Johann Blasius Santini-Aichl
- Chapel on the village square, built around 1870 in place of a bell tower. In 1998 the chapel was renovated.
- Stone cross by the chapel, erected in 1834
- two stone crosses from 1889 and 1919 at the exit to Sklené
- Natural monument Louky u Černého lesa, wet meadows on the Sázava, west of the village.
