history

The village was established in the first half of the 13th century in the course of settling the primeval forests in the Bohemian-Moravian border area under Přibyslav von Křižanov . Dobrá Voda was first mentioned in a document in 1252 in the course of the foundation of the Cistercian monastery Marienborn in Saar by Boček von Jaroslavice and Zbraslav and his wife Euphemia. Together with Jámy and Saar, the farm belonged to the founding property of the monastery. The Cistercians installed a judge on the monastic court of Dobrá Voda. After the monastery was sacked in 1422 by the Hussites under Diviš Bořek von Miletín and Viktorin von Podiebrad , the village of Dobrá Voda came to secular lords. At first this was Jan d. J. von Křižanov and Meziříčí from the Lomnick family. In 1466 Georg von Podiebrad and his son Viktorin had the destroyed monastery renovated and Dobrá Voda was returned to the monastery. The farm was leased to Jan Dobrovodský in the second half of the 15th century. In 1469 Dobrá Voda was burned down by the troops of the Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus .

Dobrá Voda was parish after the crisis. Under the Lords of Pernstein, the Order of St. John lost its church patronage in 1483 and an utraquist pastor was appointed. 1485 closed the monastery with Vratislav d. Ä. von Pernstein signed a contract with Krisans , which gave him jurisdiction in Dobrá Voda against the transfer of the taxes to the monastery. In 1529 the Saar abbot Ambrosius sold the Gutwasser farm with the jurisdiction hereditary to Burian von Český Ostrov.

The monastery leased the village several times. In 1600 Jiří Vídeňský received it from Český Ostrov. After the monastery went out for the second time in 1601, Cardinal Franz Xaver von Dietrichstein bought Dobrá Voda. In 1607 he leased Dobrá Voda to Dorothea Maria Staud von Hammersdorf. After the Lutheran pastor was expelled from Krisans in 1624, the Counter-Reformation also began in Dobrá Voda . During this time, the abbot Johann Greifenfels of Pilsenburg renovated the Saar monastery in 1639 and bought Gutwasser back from the heirs of the late Bishop Dietrichstein. At the same time he also acquired the farm. In 1649, the monastery sold Gutwasser in exchange for financial difficulties to Franz Maximilian Ritter von Staud. He also bought the Freihof from Štěpán Houf and thus established the estate of Gutwasser. In addition to the castle, it also had a brewery, a sheep farm and larger gardens. Franziska von Staud sold the rule to Sigmund Ferdinand Želecký Ritter von Potschenitz, who was the last heir of Gutwasser. In 1678 he sold the rule comprising 32 subordinate houses, which included Gutwasser and parts of Horní Bory and Radenice , to Countess Eleonore von Oppersdorff on Krisans. Thus Gutwasser was connected to the rule of Krisan.

The subsequent owners were the Counts of Kaunitz , from 1710 Georg Wenzel Ritter von Schwalbenfeld and his son Johann. In 1727 he sold the rule to the Saar monastery. In the course of the Josephine reforms , the monastery was dissolved in 1784 and Gutwasser became part of the religious fund. The farm was parceled out and divided among families. To build the houses, the manor house and the sheep farm were removed and used as building materials.

After the abolition of patrimonial Dobrá Voda / Gutwasser formed a political municipality in the Velké Meziříčí district from 1850 . In 1890 the village consisted of 94 houses and had 493 inhabitants. In 1910, 512 people lived in Dobrá Voda. In 1951 the last remaining remains of the farm were demolished. At the beginning of 1961 the Okres Velké Meziříčí was dissolved and the municipality was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1980 it was incorporated into Křižanov , and the community has existed again since 1990.
