Matějek later inherited his brother Zdich's share. The village probably went extinct during the Hussite Wars . Mikuláš Oslavický from Jemničky bought the estate in 1481 and connected it to Oslavický.

In the 16th century a monastery was founded in Benedín, which was destroyed during the Thirty Years War. A single sheep farm was built in its place, from which today's name Ovčírna is derived.

After the abolition of patrimonial the sheep farm belonged from 1850 to the district Oslavička of the political municipality Rudíkov in the district authority Velké Meziříčí. At the beginning of 1961, the change to Nový Telečkov in Okres Třebíč took place . In 1990 Ovčírna became part of the Oslavička municipality. Since January 1st, 2007 the settlement Ovčírna belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .
