Pucov (German Putzow , 1939–45 Butzau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southwest of Velká Bíteš and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .

geography

Pucov is located on the right side of the brook Pucovský potok in the foothills of the Křižanovská vrchovina ( Krischanauer Uplands ) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . State road II / 392 between Velké Meziříčí and Kralice nad Oslavou runs through the village . To the west rise the Kobelčiny (457 m nm), in the northwest of the Na Hložcích (484 m nm).

Neighboring towns are Jestřabí in the north, Jindřichov and Košíkov in the Northeast, Ludvíkov , Krokočín and Stanoviště the east, Hluboké and Jinošov the southeast, Otradice in the south, Jedov and Naloučany in the southwest, Jasinka, Čikovská Myslivna, Naloučanský Mlyn and Zahrádka the west and Důl Pucov , Vaneč and Jasenice in the north-west.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1255. Since the 14th century there was a manor house in Pucov. From 1348 Pucov belonged to the Vladiken Kralický von Kralitz. Between 1378 and 1390 it was connected to the Otradice manor and was then reconnected to the Kralitz manor . In 1451 the farm and part of the village belonged to Barbara von Pucov, who took her son Hynek von Lhota into community of property. The latter also acquired the other part of the village from Veit von Kralitz a little later; he then prescribed a morning gift of 250 ducats to his wife Agnes von Olkowitz and also took Matthias Březnický von Náchod into community of property. From 1492 Puchov was attached to the Březník estate and was later added to the Jeneschau estate . In 1618, Georg Březnický von Náchod sold the Jeneschau estate with the fortress and the village of Jeneschau, the village and farm Pucov, the village of Křoví and a farmer in Zhoř to Charles the Elder from Žerotín , who passed the property to his lordship, Namiest . The Puchov farm then went out. There is evidence of a mill in 1628.

In 1842 the village Putzow or Pučow , located on a hill in the Znojmo district, consisted of 39 houses in which 333 people lived. The parish was Jeneschau. Until the middle of the 19th century, Putzow remained subject to the Fideikommissgrafschaft Namiescht.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Pucov / Butzow 1849 a district of the municipality Jasenice in the judicial district Namiest . In 1867 the village of Pucov was established. From 1869 Pucov belonged to the Trebitsch district. At that time the village had 302 inhabitants and consisted of 42 houses. In 1900 there were 304 people living in Pucov; In 1910 there were 293. In the 1921 census, 289 people, including 286 Czechs, lived in the municipality's 54 houses. In 1930 Pucov consisted of 59 houses and had 297 inhabitants. Between 1939 and 1945 Pucov / Butzau belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1948 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Velká Bíteš. In 1950 Pucov had 242 inhabitants. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Velká Bíteš, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Třebíč on July 1, 1960 . Uranium ore was mined northwest of Pucov between 1963 and 1967 and between 1974 and 1991 . The důl Pucov mine produced over 311 tons of uranium during this period and reached a depth of 400 meters. In the 2001 census, 133 people lived in Pucov's 56 houses.
