history
The first written mention of Zvěrkovice took place in 1349. After the Lichtenburgs died out , the village was sold to the Moravian court judge Wenceslaus Hodický von Hoditz in 1563 as part of the Hostim reign . He exchanged the rule a year later with Jiří Valecký von Mírov for Misslitz . Valecký managed the estate with little success and it began to sell out. He bequeathed the remainder to his wife Kateřina Zelená von Říčany as a widow's share in 1590, who brought the property into her second marriage to Ladislaus von Schleinitz in 1591.
In 1630 Georg / Jíří Březnický von Náchod acquired the Hostim estate. The hoof register ( Lánský rejstřík ) lists 26 properties for Zvěrkovice, nine of which were desolate as a result of the Thirty Years' War. In 1665, Georg's widow Marie Renate, nee Breuner, sold Hostim Castle, along with the parish and the hop garden, as well as the village of Zvěrkovice with a free yard to Marshal Jean-Louis Raduit de Souches on Jaispitz . In 1682 his son Karl Ludwig, who was also the guardian of his feeble-minded older brother Johann Ludwig, inherited the rule. After Karl Ludwig de Souches suddenly died in 1690, his underage son Karl Joseph inherited the property. Sold 1,720 of the debt of his guardians rule Hösting with the Freigut Boskowstein , the villages Zvěrkovice, Rozkoš, Jiřice, Grešlové Mýto and two locks, five Meier farms for 136,000 Rhenish guilders to the Imperial butler and chamberlain Konstantin Josef Graf von Gatterburg . In 1732 he transferred the rule to his youngest son Konstantin Joachim. In 1776 Konstantin Joachim's nephew Prokop von Gatterburg inherited the prosperous rule and initially leased it to the Baron von Wetzlar. In 1788 Anton Count Meraviglia bought the Hösting estate with the associated villages Blann , Boskowstein, Gröschlmaut , Giržitz , Prokopsdorf , Roskosch and Zerkowitz . In 1797 he passed the rule of his wife Eleonore, née von Abensperg and Traun . In 1827 a cousin, Count Anton Meraviglia, inherited the rule. The residents lived from agriculture. The parish was Hösting. Until the middle of the 19th century, Zerkowitz remained subject to the Hösting rule.

In 1896 the community was assigned to the newly formed district of Mährisch Budwitz.
