Friedrich von Zierotin

Friedrich von Zierotin († May 31, 1598 ) was a Moravian nobleman from the Zierotin family and a politician in Bohemia .

Life

He was trained at the imperial military academy, performed services for Charles V , Ferdinand and Maximilian in Bohemia and Spain . In addition, he often traveled as an ambassador. When Rudolf II seized Hungary , he suggested building a new fortress in Ujvár . As an imperial advisor, he was also promoted to the war council, which commanded more than a thousand horsemen, was Supreme Captain in the Margraviate of Moravia and court master of Archduke Maximilian. From 1594 to 1598 he was governor, governor and highest chamberlain. During his reign he acquired Groß Seelowitz , Pausram , Treskowitz , Ungarschitz , Morschitz and Prerau . He inherited Hermannstädtel in Bohemia from his brother . After the Lords of Lomnitz died out in 1567, part of the Namiescht rule fell to him .

Friedrich was married three times. From 1559 with Magdalene von Zástřizl († 1566), with Isabelle von Biglie and since 1585 with Mandalena Slawata von Klum, who shared the inheritance among themselves with their stepson Johann Diwisch and the older uncle Karl .
