Vaillant BKK was the company health insurance fund of Vaillant GmbH, the Kölnische Verlagsdruckerei, Heinen-Verlag, Varta, Hawker and Johnson Controls. The company health insurance fund, which was open nationwide except for the state of Brandenburg and for all legally insured persons, was founded in 1953. The seat of the cash register was in Remscheid. The cash register operated customer centers in Remscheid , Roding , Hagen , Hanover and Ellwangen .

The workforce at Vaillant GmbH & Co. KG founded their own company health insurance fund on April 1, 1953. The customer center in Bavaria was opened in 1970. The board of directors has been Mr. Manfred Greupner since 1997. The Vaillant BKK - Partner for Health opened nationwide on September 1, 1999 . In 2004 the head office was moved from Remscheid to Remscheid-Lennep.
On July 1, 2005 the company merged with BKK der Kölnische Verlagsdruckerei GmbH - BKK KVD for short. At the beginning of 2010, the company merged with INOVITA BKK. On July 1, 2015, Vaillant BKK merged with Pronova BKK
