The Vír II dam (Czech: Vodní nádrž Vír II ) is a dam in the Czech Republic . It is located at the foot of the Pyšolec castle ruins and dams the Svratka .
history
The Vír II dam was created in 1954 as a lower basin of the Vír I dam . The dam was built in the Dolní Hamry settlement. It is used to generate electricity and is equipped with a Kaplan turbine with an output of 0.73 MW. The reservoir has an area of 12.5 ha.
