Kim Wilkins (born December 22, 1970 in London , England ) is an Australian writer.

Life

Kim Wilkens became famous with horror and fantasy novels. In addition, she also writes children's and youth literature, among other things.

In addition to her name, she uses the pseudonym Kimberley Freeman, the maiden name of her grandmother, under which she has published several contemporary novels about strong women.

For her debut novel The Infernal , published in German under the title Das Teufelsmal , she received the Aurealis Award in 1997 for the best novel in the horror and fantasy genres.

Today she lives and works with her husband Mirko Ruckels and their two children in Brisbane , Queensland .
