The term cassia (lat .: cassia ) is used in botany for:

  • the plant genus of cassia (Cassia)
  • the cinnamon cassia (Cinnamomum cassia or also Cinnamomum aromaticum) , which, despite its name, does not belong to the genus of cassia


Cassia also stands for:

  • the sweet acacia (Acacia farnesiana)
  • Via Cassia , the Italian state road 2
  • Kassia (also: Kasia ), a Byzantine poet and composer of the early 9th century
