New Lachlan Castle

Castle Lachlan , also New Lachlan Castle , is an 18th-century country house in Strathlachlan on the Cowal Peninsula in the Scottish administrative division of Argyll and Bute . Donald MacLachlan , the 19th laird, had it built in 1790 as a replacement for Old Lachlan Castle , which is close by on the shores of Loch Fyne .

Historic Scotland has listed Castle Lachlan as a Category C (S) Historic Building.

Around 1910, the architect George Mackie Watson rebuilt Castle Lachlan.
