The Cathédrale grecque Saint-Étienne is the cathedral of the Greek Orthodox metropolis of France . The church was built at the expense of Demetrius Schilizzi and consecrated on December 22, 1895. It is at 7 rue Georges-Bizet in the 16th arrondissement .

A funeral service for Eleftherios Venizelos took place there on March 21, 1936 , before his body was brought to Italy by train and to Crete by ship. It was there that Édith Piaf and Théo Sarapo married on October 9, 1962. The funeral of Maria Callas took place on September 20, 1977 in the cathedral.
