Christian Bethke

Christian Bethke (* 1978 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician . He was chairman of the New Liberals party from November 2015 to November 2019 .

He lives in Frankfurt am Main and works for the corporate finance consultancy Freitag & Co.

Bethke has been politically active since 2009 and was initially with the pirates. Shortly after it was founded, he joined the New Liberals (NL) party. At the federal party conference on 25./26. November 2015 he was elected federal chairman of his new party. In the 2019 European elections , he ran for the NL in second place on the list. The list was elected by 15,909 eligible voters across Germany. Since December 1, 2019, Bethke has been an assessor and IT manager on the federal board. His goal is to establish the New Liberals as a civil rights party. He is committed because these great achievements of personal freedom are suddenly up for debate again and are coming under increasing pressure.
