The Cathedral Tower Cuyahoga is an unfinished television tower in Cuyahoga Falls , Ohio . It should be used to broadcast religious television programs and have a total height of 228.6 meters. In addition to a television studio, a tower restaurant should also be housed in the tower cage . Construction of the tower began on October 10, 1971. The tower reached a height of 150.6 m (494 ft) before builder Rex Humbard ran out of money. The Cathedral Tower Cuyahoga now serves as a cell phone tower .
