Catherine Mittermayer

Catherine Mittermayer (born June 11, 1975 in Bern ) is a Swiss ancient orientalist .

Life

From 1995 to 2002 she studied Ancient Near Eastern languages, Near Eastern archeology and classical archeology in Bern. After completing her doctorate in March 2008 in the subject of ancient oriental languages ​​at the University of Bern (dissertation: "Enmerkara and the Lord of Arata: An Unequal Competition") and her habilitation in Tübingen in 2014, she has been a professor at the University of Geneva since 2015 .
