Catherine Spooner

Catherine Spooner is a British English scholar and university professor specializing in Gothic culture / literature.

Life

Spooner graduated from St Edmund Hall of the University of Oxford (BA) and at Goldsmiths, University of London (MA, PhD ). She then worked at Falmouth University and from 2002 to 2004 as a lecturer at Reading University 's School of English and American Literature . Since 2004 she has been working as a Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the Department of English and Creative Writing at Lancaster University . She conducts intensive research on Gothic culture / literature and has published several books, articles in anthologies and specialist articles ( women, among others) in this area. Spooner is co-president of the International Gothic Association .
