Cave Ravine (English for cave gorge ) is a gorge in the western part of Ardery Island in the archipelago of the Windmill Islands off the Budd coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used for initial mapping. Its discoverer in 1961 was the Australian doctor Mervyn Noel Orton (1920-1983), who was working on the Wilkes ward at that time . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named the gorge after Orton Cave in the north face of the gorge.
