CeCILL

CeCILL ( CE A C NRS I NRIA L ogiciel L ibre) is a French license for free software that is compatible with the GNU General Public License . The name is made up of the abbreviations of the participating research institutions with the appendix "Logiciel Libre", the French word for free software.

The CeCILL was developed by the three research institutions

• Commissariat à l'énergie atomique (CEA)
• Center national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS)
• Institut national de recherche en informatique et en automatique (INRIA)
