Celvin Rotane (actually Mike van der Viven ) is a German House - DJ and - producer .

Act

Rotane achieved European fame in the summer of 1995 with the release of the single I Believe , produced in collaboration with Ramon Zenker , which with its characteristic "Uuh!" Sample became a big club hit and also hit the sales charts in several countries. The follow-up single Push Me To The Limit , which Rotane recorded with the American singer Francine "Frankie" McCoy, was able to build on this success.

After the third single You've Got To Be You failed to enter the charts, Celvin Rotane made a comeback in 1997 with the double A-side Back Again / Theme From Magnum . While "Theme from Magnum" was a reinterpretation of the theme music from the television series Magnum , the sound of "Back Again" was influenced by the pizzicato trance popular at the time .

Celvin Rotane was and is also internationally active as a DJ.
