Founding document of the company from 1924

In 1885, Louis Aufranc opened a precious metal smelter. In 1924 he merged his company with the Zanelli company and founded the stock corporation Cendres + Métaux SA. The main activity of the new company was the processing of precious metal containing materials. This main activity gave the company its name, because the processing of precious metal-containing materials produces ashes ( French “ Cendres ”) and metals (French “ Métaux ”).

Six companies belong to Cendres + Métaux Holding SA: Cendres + Métaux Management SA, Cendres + Métaux SA, Diavantis SA, Cendres + Métaux Lux SA, Cendres + Métaux Microtech SA and Queloz SA.

Cendres + Métaux Management SA provides services for all group companies of Cendres + Métaux Holding SA. The competencies differ in financial services, personnel services and IT services.

The legal entity Cendres + Métaux SA - known under the name Cendres + Métaux Medtech - is a manufacturer of products for the medical and dental market. It has subsidiaries in Italy, France, Spain, Great Britain, South Korea and China. Medical devices are mainly produced for third-party suppliers on a contract basis. Dental products are available under their own brand names.

Diavantis is a spin-off wholly owned by Cendres + Métaux SA. As a medical technology start-up, the company focuses on the development and marketing of vascular access for hemodialysis.

Cendres + Métaux Lux produces high-precision watch and jewelery parts made of precious metal for watch brands. It also supplies the industry with precious metal semi-finished products and refining services.

Cendres + Métaux Microtech SA produces and sells the modular mechanical movement K1.
