Centenario is a locality in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the northern part of the Durazno department in sector 11 . It lies north of the cities of Durazno and Carlos Reyles , with which it is connected via the Ruta 5 . Baygorria is located in a west-southwest direction . In the north, Centenario borders on the left bank of the Río Negro coming from the north, which bends about 90 degrees to the west . The city of Paso de los Toros is located on the opposite bank .
Infrastructure
The Ruta 5 leads through the village, the bridge of which connects the Río Negro Centenario with Paso de los Toros. In Centenario there is also a school with the Escuela N ° 39 "Fructuoso Rivera" .
Residents
Centenario had 1,136 inhabitants at the 2011 census, of which 564 were men and 572 were women.
