Center for Media and Democracy

The Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) is a non-profit organization that has set itself the task of promoting investigative journalism , among other things . It was founded in 1993 and is based in Madison, Wisconsin .

The organization was headed by its founder John Stauber until 2009 . Today (as of 2019) Arn Pearson is its managing director.
