Centgrafenkapelle
The Centgrafenkapelle is an unfinished chapel that the centgrave of the Mainz archbishopric of Bürgstadt , Leonhard Gackstatt (1626 to 1655 as Centgraf), built in the first half of the 17th century on the oak hump above Bürgstadt and below the southwest corner of the ring wall of Bürgstadter Berg erected.
The Centgraf, who became known as a wealthy man and great patron of churches, had to give up construction work in 1630 because of the Thirty Years' War . Therefore, only the side walls of the chapel ruin remain.
From the Centgrafenkapelle, visitors have a view of Bürgstadt, Miltenberg , the Centgrafenberg vineyards and the Main Valley .
