In 2005, the Central was briefly the first cinema with digital projection (DLP) in Rhineland-Palatinate, until broadcasting with the leased projector was discontinued due to a lack of digital films and due to licensing conditions.

building

The elongated building complex consists of two two-storey front buildings, which are connected by a single-storey connecting wing. The former main portal on Osterstraße is decorated with baroque sandstone decorations; Since the modern renovation, the direction of the building has been reversed, the entrance and the ticket hall are now at the opposite end of the building. The room layout and interior are no longer original.
