The Central University College (dt. Central University) (short: CUC) in Accra is a university college that is affiliated with the University of Cape Coast . The CUC is a Christian university that was founded on the operations of the International Central Gospel Church (IUGC). This university is divided into the districts of Dansoman, Dawhenya and Mataheko of Accra.

history

The CUC was first established in 1988 as a training center for pastors of the International Central Golpel Church. In June 1991 it was renamed Central Bible College and renamed Central Christian College in 1993. When it was approved as a University College in 1997, the institution was renamed Central University College again.

Faculties

Four faculties and a center for Pentecostal studies have been established in the SUS.

In the Faculty of Theology and Missionary Mission, the oldest institution of the university, courses have been offered since 1988 in what was then the Institute for Pastoral Education. This faculty is on the Mataheko campus. The departments for biblical and theological studies, historical theology and practical theology are attached here.

The Faculty of Business Management (Eng. School of Business Management and Administration) was founded in 1997. The accounting / finance, management, social sciences, information technology and modern languages ​​departments are affiliated here.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences is located on the Cawhenya campus. The departments for architecture, engineering, natural sciences, nursing (nursing studies and practice), pharmaceuticals and the department for training physical technical assistants are connected here.

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is the youngest of the faculties at the CUC. It is located on the Dawhenya campus and was founded in October 2006. The departments for communication as well as environment and development studies have been set up here.

The Pentecostal Church Center for Studies was also opened.
