Center d'électronique de l'armement

The Center d'électronique de l'armement ( CELAR ; German Center for Electronic Armaments ) is the center for electronic reconnaissance of the French Ministry of Defense . CELAR works closely with the foreign intelligence service DGSE .

The task of the center is to monitor and investigate electronic communications in the civil and military sectors. To this end, the service operates over 30 listening stations , including in the former colonies of France. 780 people, a third of them engineers, work for CELAR.
