Cercle Municipal

The Cercle Municipal (German: Stadt-Palais ) is located on the Place d'Armes in Luxembourg City .

The palace is an administration building with several ballrooms. From 1953 to 1969 it served the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) as a meeting and conference venue. Today the building is used by the city of Luxembourg for various receptions.

A special feature on the facade is a frieze, which shows the delivery of the letter of freedom to the citizens of Luxembourg City in 1244 by Countess Ermesinde .
