Cesemowe

The place Cesemowe is a medieval desert in the area of ​​the community Gehlsbach in the district Ludwigslust-Parchim in southwest Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Traditional

The settlement Cesemowe was first mentioned as Szizzimouwe in 1178 and was located near Karbow-Vietlübbe . In 1219 the place was called villa Cesemoue . The exact location and the reasons for the abandonment of the place are not known.

Place name

The place name is of Slavic origin and denotes a family or clan name ( Cêim ).
